A bright table makes room for everyone.

Splatter & Glaze was made for the moments that are better with paint on your hands: a rainy afternoon, a birthday table, a first date, a family outing, or a catch-up with friends.Twenty-two years ago, I was a 13 year old girl sitting at a table painting pottery for the very first time. I still have that piece today. I remember looking around the table at my family. We’re a pretty loud family… but in that moment it was quiet. Everyone was focused. Happy. Smiling. Then I looked around the studio. The same thing. Little kids concentrating so hard on their masterpieces. Parents laughing. Pride absolutely beaming across faces when someone finished a piece they were proud of. And I remember thinking very clearly to myself: “Okay Ronni… high school, college, med school, career… then my own studio.” I’m sure God had a good chuckle. Fourteen years ago this year, Beauty from Bisque — our very first paint-your-own pottery studio — opened in Somerset. I was a 22 year old “kid.” I had graduated high school, but I was a college dropout at the time… telling myself I’d go back…someday. My mom and I poured our hearts into that place. And so many of you walked through those doors. But sometimes dreams don’t unfold on the timeline we imagine, we choose the impossible decision to close, but we shut the doors with one promise to ourselves and to all of you: One day we would come back. Life kept moving. I went back and finished college. I found a career that I truly love. I met my husband. I gained a beautiful bonus son. And eventually my mom and I looked at each other and said… “Let’s try again.” In 2021 we started looking at spaces, but they weren’t right or needed more work than our personal finances could absorb. In July of 2024 we signed the lease for what would become Splatter & Glaze. From that moment forward it was nothing but work. Walls pulled down. Nails removed. Carpet ripped out. New floors laid. Paint carefully chosen and rolled (or thrown) on with intention. We wanted it to feel like peace. To be a place where people could slow down. Sit together. Be present.  We bled, cried, prayed, and hoped while rebuilding this space that we could deliver. Then right in the middle of it, we received the most beautiful surprise of all — my baby girl was on the way. In November of 2025, we opened the doors to what I believe will be our forever studio. Since then, we’ve been unbelievably blessed. We’ve hosted families making memories together. Friends laughing around paint tables. Couples on date nights. Kids creating pieces they’re so proud of. Mom and I stop washing brushes or cleaning tables and share a glance and smile knowing we did it.  We are endlessly grateful to live this dream again. And we are deeply thankful for every single person who has been part of this journey — whether you painted with us, supported us, shared our posts, encouraged us, or simply believed in what we were building. Splatter & Glaze is more than a studio to us. It’s a dream that started at a pottery table with a little girl holding a paintbrush… and a community that helped bring it back to life.
